Netvibes vs. Google Homepage

I stumbled across an interesting website netvibes.com . It is a customizable web page that leverage some of the cooler features of the emerging Web 2.0 including:

  • Creating a page with personalized content
  • Pulling in RSS or Atom feeds from various data providers
  • Ubiquitous access to your page, all you need is a computer with web access and a browser
  • AJAX techniques that make a web page very responsive and customizable ( Just drag and drop your news or feed sections )

However, I must admit that this Netvibes service is eerily similar to Google Homepage , anyone know which came first?
